A trip to Hilton Head

Last week, we packed up the car and took a trip over to Hilton Head, SC.  Emily's dad was there, and Emily's sister Jennifer along with husband Chip and daughter Magnolia (Andrew's cousin, one week older!) came down as well.  So it was a fun family get-together.  Lots of pictures from the week, and below are just a few of them!

11-month Photos

Andrew is 11 months old today.  It is seriously unbelievable how fast it is going.  It's also amazing how much he is starting to learn and figure out.  But anyway...on to the photos!

An afternoon at the park

The weather was really nice out today, so we took Andrew to a nearby park with plenty of green space and a really nice playground.  We also decided that it was the perfect neighborhood, so if anyone has a spare $700,000 laying around, let one of us know.

Anyway, on to the fun!

We took a wagon ride through he park to the playground.
Andrew really loves riding in his wagon.
Playing with the spinny things

Swingin'

Andrew actually climbed this whole rock structure
with only a little bit of assistance at the first level.
Otherwise, he was all on his own.
That is really incredible!

Early March Photos

Things around here are going swimmingly.  The weather is starting to warm up.  Sam's back in town.  Andrew is now a walking fool.  All in all, not too shabby.  I just thought I'd share a couple of photos from the past few days.

Making funny hairdos in the bath.

Andrew loves to sit on the bottom shelf of our coffee table,
but he hasn't figured out how to get down.  He'll sit there,
happy as can be, for about five minutes.  Then he'll cry
and whine until I rescue him.

Andrew in his cowboy outfit.  We went to a birthday party at the
horse stables today and he wanted to look the part.
He's got a mini cowboy hat too, but he didn't feel like wearing it.

We are walking. And climbing stairs.

Andrew started taking his first steps a couple of weeks ago, but they were few and far between, and we could never get them on video.  They would just randomly happen.  Nowadays, he walks pretty consistently, although usually only for a few feet at a time.

Here are a couple of videos showing him walking for the first times we could really capture it on video.  One is really blurry because the phone messed up, but it's still watchable.

Andrew also really likes climbing the stairs.  He started this a few weeks ago also, but again it was hard getting it on video without both parents in town.  This video starts and ends at normal speed, but ramps up to five times normal speed in the middle.  The total time for climbing the full set of stairs was about one minute and 52 seconds.

This boy is learning fast!!  And he's keeping us on our toes for sure!
